Biography
Personal Public is an Alternative Electro-Rock band from Columbus, Ohio. The band began as a small creative project between high school friends Tony Herrmann and Jordan McVey. After a few years of writing and producing songs together, the one-time two-piece production duo/musical act would soon expand and blossom into a five-piece band consisting of lead singer Cody Contner, lead guitarist Ben Canton, keyboard player Anthony Herrmann, bassist Alex Kessis, and drummer Jordan McVey. Since their advent into the Columbus music scene, the band has played many iconic venues in the area, such as the Newport Music Hall, Skully's Music Diner, the A&R Music Bar, The Basement, and a sold out show opening for Declan McKenna, Best Coast, dma's, and J. Roddy Walston & the Business at Express Live!. Other notable acts include Cold War Kid's, Arkell's, Trevor Hall, Cas Haley, The Weeks, Priory, and Artifex Pereo. The band fuses Alternative and Rock 'n' roll sensibilities together with modern production styles to create a unique, unmistakably catchy sound that both soothes the soul, as well as excites the senses. the band has recently released their debut record 'Revival' on January 13th, 2017.
