The Easthills

Biography

The Easthills released their highly anticipated 12 song full-length new album Fear and Temptation in 2016. It is available in CD format at Luna Music, thru online order at TheEasthills.com and for digital download online thru iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and the band’s official website. Fear and Temptation follows the 2013 critically acclaimed album Death Of A Salesman and the 2014 EP World Class Prick. The band also released a series of singles in advance of Fear and Temptation including ”Mothers & Fools”, “Snake In My Gut (Caroline’s Heart), “Holiday Women”, and most recently “Here Without Me”.

Fear and Temptation continues The Easthills signature big harmonies and big guitars sound. The album also boasts a new direction both sonically and as songwriters. Founding members Will Barada and Hank Campbell contributed equally on songwriting, vocals and guitars to produce a riff heavy and melodic collection of songs. The Easthills first full-length album, Death Of A Salesman, consisted of Barada, Campbell and Brad Morgan on drums. Fear and Temptation sees the full live band lineup contributing to the recording process with Wade Parish on drums, Banner Morgan on guitar, and Brad Morgan now on bass. Fear and Temptation also features renowned indie rock guitar legend Doug Gillard (Nada Surf, Guided By Voices) on six songs, Frank Hannon of Tesla and Neal Doughty of REO Speedwagon on “Holiday Women”, and guitarist Rick Richards (Georgia Satellites, Izzy Stradlin) on “Here Without Me”.

The Easthills celebrated the album’s release on February 27, 2016 with a sold out show in Indianapolis. The band has a busy summer in 2016 playing shows with Cracker, Soul Asylum, Grand Funk Railroad, Melodime and Robby Krieger (of the Doors) among others. Since the inception of The Easthills they have played multiple Midwest shows with REO Speedwagon, Fastball, Georgia Satellites, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and Here Come the Mummies while also serving as support for Cheap Trick, Tesla, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Candlebox, Ian McLagan (Faces) and Blues Traveler. The band has also appeared on several noteworthy music festivals playing alongside the likes of Flaming Lips, Weezer, Roky Erikson, Guided By Voices, Meat Puppets, Chris Robinson and many more.
